MY STORY

Dating back to grade-school, my two passions have been science and writing. As I’ve grown, so has my literary palette. Together, these passions have generated my life’s vocation: to communicate scientific knowledge to others that will improve lives and better society.

Entering into the Biomedical Sciences graduate program at the University at Buffalo (UB), I was convinced I wanted to become a college professor and pursue a career in academia. As I neared my graduation, I came to the realization that the tenure track isn't necessarily my track. With the encouragement and support of my thesis mentor, I decided to delve into the field of scientific and medical communications.

As challenges transpire in life, I choose to perceive them as opportunities to grow and develop as a person. This is the same approach I employ as a writer -- using challenges in writing to evolve and enhance my literary style and voice.
